Southern Cross Ministries is a Christian-based ministry that serves the South Texas Coastal Bend area. We provide pre-marriage, marriage/relationship and prayer counseling services to our brothers and sisters in faith who need guidance. Our ministry is headed by a loving pastor and his wife who cares deeply for everyone.

Meet Pastor Rod & Kay Raines;
Pastor Rod has more than 17 years of ministry experience as a licensed pastor . He is also a licensed Christian counselor for both pre-marriage and marriage consultation for 25 years. For 19 years Rod toured across the U.S. and 10 countries singing and preaching in the Evangelistic and Worship Concert Praise Ministry.

Aside from being a pastor and Christian counselor, Rod is a professional vocalist and recording artist. He has more than 30 years of professional singing and recording studio experience. To date, he has 13 Christian albums to his personal credit. He also has one Number 1 Charting U.S. Gospel song, as well as 5 other Top 10 National Charting Gospel songs that he sang and produced himself.
Pastor Rod has appeared on numerous national TV and radio talk shows. He toured and sang across the U.S. and also in 10 overseas countries. He has more than 20 years of professional video production experience as well. Rod served as an International Concert Liaison to England, France, Australia and Japan. His music is heard on multiple radio stations in 35 countries around the world. He also communicated several years with media marketing firms and construction companies located in China.
Currently, Pastor Rod and his wife Karon are broadcast weekly on local public access TV stations Channels 10 & 18 in Corpus Christi, Texas with their media Ministry Program entitled "A New Day of Praise".
